KNUD HOLSCHER (1930- )Knud Holscher studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Winner of many architectural competitions and design awards, Holscher has received the Eckersberg Medal in 1970 and the ID Prize of the Society of International Design. He joined the office of Arne Jacobson in 1960 to oversee the construction of Jacobson’s St. Catherine’s college in 1962. He later won the British Design award in 1965 and and 1966 for collaborative work with Alan Tye. Between 1968 and 1988 he was professor of Architecture for the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and has been professor of Design since 1994. Since 1995 he has headed his own office, " Knud Holscher Design". Since 2004, he is an Honorary Royal Designer for Industry. Included in his many designs are stainless steel pieces for Georg Jensen.
